Joki One and East Yard Enterprises present "FLOWER POWER: Hippie Sailors".
Flower Power: Hippie Sailors reminds us that even in turbulent times, beauty can be an act of resistance. Sailors, like Carnival masqueraders, are wanderers, storytellers, boundary-crossers. The sea, like freedom, belongs to those brave enough to pursue it. In 2027, we set sail not for war, but for wonder. Not for conquest, but for connection. Not just to cross waters but to cross worlds.
And as we move through the streets, we declare:
Make mas, not war.
Join us on the streets of Port of Spain on Carnival Monday and Tuesday as we compete in the parade of the bands!

MONDAY WEAR
Make Mas, Not War
Our Monday Wear is more than a costume—it's an invitation to participate.
Inspired by the peaceful protests of the Flower Power movement, every masquerader will receive a "Make Mas, Not War" marker and placard. Throughout the day, you're encouraged to write the phrase on your garment, on your body, or on your sign, creating a colourful, moving demonstration of peace, joy, and Carnival.
Think of it as Soca Protest—where instead of marching in anger, we dance in celebration. Instead of demanding change through conflict, we declare it through music, creativity, and mas.
Together, we'll transform the streets into a vibrant reminder that the greatest protest is choosing community, culture, and connection.
